Clay ideas

After meeting with Brian at Fort pottery last weekend for what seemed like an entire afternoon, I came away with no less than 87 new ideas and a trunk full of beautiful red majolica clay and several neutral colors of engobes and underglazes. Now if I can muster up the courage to make a few sample tiles. Is it me or does the whole chemistry of working w clay and glazes just seem so intimidating?

I started drawing with a brush again in an effort to create my designs automatically. By rewriting over and over again it takes the thinking out of it and the lines become more expressive.
